Pre-Move Survey:

JVK believes that counselling and fact finding at the pre-move survey are critical for a successful move. Our English speaking, and often expatriate, representative will evaluate your packing requirements and explain our methods for protecting your belongings. He or she will ask for your concerns and specific needs for timing, special packing, billing, or new purchases.

Moving Proposal:

Upon completion of the pre-move survey, JVK will prepare a door to door (or abbreviation thereof) proposal in a timely, professional format. Our proposal will include detailed information about the services we provide, the timing, the routing, and the destination customs requirements. Our proposal will be complete, with no hidden costs, and guaranteed.

Moving Protection:

On the scheduled day of packing, JVK specialists will arrive at your residence prepared to pack and crate your precious belongings for safe transit around the world. Only the finest quality materials are used, including bubble wrap, styrofoam sheets, cushion pads, cardboard sheets, wardrobe cartons, and various size cartons. Special crates are made for your fragile items.

Packing Expertise:

JVK has 15 full time packing crews. A crew consists of five men: an English speaking supervisor and four professional packers. The packers are divided into two teams, each with a senior and junior packer. This system is very manageable for both you and our supervisors. All JVK packers are full time professionals, some with over 25 years of industry experience.

Secure Transit Warehousing:

Because shipping schedules dont often coincide with your packing schedule, your shipment will most likely have to be taken to JVKs transit warehouse after leaving your home. Although this is usually a brief stay, JVK takes great pride in ensuring that your goods are kept in a modern, clean, secure facility. Our transit warehouse has raised floors, 24 hour security, and an ISO certified pest control system.

Secure, Long Term Warehousing:

For many reasons, some personal and others driven by regulations in your destination country, your belongings may need to be stored for an extended period of time with JVK. When this is the case, your shipment is loaded into storage vaults and placed in a less active section of the warehouse. Here, your belongings continue to be protected and cared for as if they were our own.

Export Formalities:

Once your shipment is ready for export, JVK will prepare the necessary export documents, book an Airline or Steamship Line, and coordinate export customs formalities. JVK will endeavor to avoid any export inspection. If inspection is required, however, JVK professional packers, not port labour, will perform any unpacking and re-packing services.

Airfreight Services:

For those belongings which youll need as soon as possible in your new environment, JVK will select only reputable, cost effective airlines. JVK maintain space priority concessions with several major airlines, ensuring movement even during peak season periods. Cost efficient, safer routings are ongoing objectives at JVK.

Sea Freight Services:

The bulk of your belongings will travel by ship to your destination country. Again, only reputable, cost effective Steamship Lines are selected. Through several worldwide associations, JVK has space priority allotments with several major Steamship Lines. Again, cost efficiency and safe routes are our aim at JVK.

Delivery Services:

When your belongings arrive in the destination country, JVKs selected moving professionals there will be responsible for customs clearance and delivery to your residence. Throughout Asia, JVKs own office will handle the delivery. In the USA and Europe, JVKs liaison office will ensure that our partner agent treats your belongings as if JVK were handling them ourselves.

Worldwide Transit Coverage:

All risk transit insurance is available for door to door protection. Coverage commences when JVK begin packing and remains in effect until unpacking is competed in your new home. Your insurance premium is calculated as a percentage of your declared value. An itemized inventory is necessary to activate transit cover.
